Natural Novato

Climate and Geography

Novato sits between Mount Burdell and Big Rock Ridge. Stafford Lake and the Russian River supply water throughout the region. Temperatures range from the low 50s in January to summer days with highs in the 90s. It averages 30 inches of rain every year, and around 262 days are sunny.

Point Reyes National Seashore is an enormous national park on the Point Reyes Peninsula. Wild beaches and wildflower-covered coastlines beckon visitors to bike, drive and cycle. The Point has an extensive network of hiking trails that take backpackers through Bear Valley to the highest point in the park or directly over the San Andreas Fault. The American Discovery Trail starts at Point Reyes and crosses the entire United States. Novato also has an 18-hole golf course and several educational venues.
