Ongaro and Sons is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

Standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and more user-friendly for everyone.

WCAG 2.1 AA is the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) for web accessibility and is widely adopted across both public and private sectors.

  • Manual Code Review: Source code analysis for heading structure, landmark regions, ARIA usage, keyboard accessibility, and alt text quality
  • Keyboard Navigation: Tab order testing to ensure all interactive elements are reachable and operable without a mouse
  • Ongoing Remediation: Active identification and resolution of accessibility issues, with prioritized remediation based on user impact

Known Limitations

While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, some areas of the site may have limitations:

  • Third-party embedded content: Our live chat widget, online booking system, and review platform are provided by third-party services. While we have selected vendors that prioritize accessibility, their embedded content may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards in all cases. We actively communicate accessibility requirements to these vendors.
  • PDF documents: Some older PDF documents on the site may not be fully accessible. We are working to remediate these and ensure all new documents meet accessibility standards.
  • User-generated content: Customer reviews and testimonials sourced from third-party platforms may contain images or formatting that does not meet our accessibility standards.
