Slope is the variable that runs through everything
Deer Park sits east of St. Helena at roughly 568 feet, on the ground that rises from the valley floor toward Howell Mountain, with Deer Creek running through it. A short distance here can be a substantial change in height, and that has consequences most homeowners have never been told about.
Water pressure is the clearest example, because it is pure physics rather than plumbing opinion. Interconnection applications from April 2023 onward fall under the Net Billing Tariff, where exported energy is credited at its hourly value to the grid rather than at the retail rate, so what you consume is worth more than what you send back.
